Outage Planning (SPP:206):-

This Gridco document describes the Gridco internal procedures and responsibilities for carrying out system studies as part of the process of producing a viable Gridco Transmission Outage Plan. This procedure deals only with planned maintenance, and outages of existing EHT equipments / lines for the purpose of enabling new connections to be made. Development of the transmission system is covered in SPP 207.

The objective of this internal procedure is to coordinate generating unit outages, Powergrid line outages, inter state / inter region / intra state trunk line outages and Distco load / line outages with Gridco outages and thereby help utilizing generation and transmission efficiently, while maintaining the planning and operational security standard (Transmission Planning and Security Standards, Power Supply Planning and Security Standards, Transmission Operating Standards and Power Supply Operating Standards).
