Long Term System Development (SPP:207):-

This Gridco document describes the Gridco internal procedure and responsibilities within the System Planning Team for proposing long-term system development (i.e. more than one year ahead) to meet anticipated demand and generation growth. By using long-term demand forecasts and with knowledge of new generation applications it will be possible to develop the State power system and meet anticipated demand and/or generation growth in the most efficient manner possible.

The objective of this internal procedure is to define how the State transmission system will be developed for maximum efficiency in the longer term to meet the anticipated demand and generation growth.
